Sam on the Issues That Matter Most
Four years ago, Lee County voters made it clear that they expected higher standards from their school system. They chose conservative leadership, demanded accountability and transparency, and called for a renewed focus on students, parents, and taxpayers. Sam Fisher has worked to honor that mandate.
Over the past four years, we’ve made real progress in restoring stability, protecting students, strengthening fiscal discipline, and returning the focus of our classrooms to academic success. That progress is real and it’s worth fighting for. However, the work is not finished and now is not the time to let up.
Sam is committed to protecting the reforms that are working, improving the areas that need attention, and ensuring every student in Lee County can succeed. He’s seeking reelection to continue building a stronger, safer, and more accountable school district for our community, always making sure that every decision made by the School Board puts students, parents, and taxpayers first.
About Sam
Sam Fisher is an attorney, small business owner, and community leader, but most importantly, he's a husband and father. Elected in 2022, he is honored to serve the people of Lee County on the School Board. As a parent with children in the district, Sam believes every decision must put students first, respect parents, and use taxpayer dollars responsibly.
Sam was born and raised in a working-class family where he learned the value of hard work, personal responsibility, and service above self. After earning his degree from Rutgers University and his law degree from Mississippi College School of Law, Sam went on to serve in public administration, where he was responsible for budgeting, staffing, policy implementation, and oversight for a multi-county public agency. That experience strengthened his belief in accountability, transparency, and efficient government.
Sam and his wife, Cecilia, a veterinarian and small business owner, live in Cape Coral, where they run their family business and stay active in community and youth organizations. As parents, they are deeply invested in the success of Lee County’s schools and the success of every student who walks through their doors.
Before being elected to the School Board, Sam served on the governing board of the Oasis Charter School System, working on policy, budgeting, school operations, and leadership oversight. That experience helped prepare him to serve effectively in a large and complex school district while staying focused on what matters the most: students, teachers, and families.
In 2022, Lee County voters sent a clear message: they wanted accountability, professionalism, and conservative leadership in their school system. Sam has delivered by strengthening fiscal discipline, increasing transparency, supporting safe and stable schools, and ensuring parents have a respected voice in their child’s education.
Sam views public service as both a responsibility and a trust, and he’s grateful to serve the community that placed their confidence in him. His commitment remains clear: listen to parents, support teachers, protect taxpayers, and keep students at the center of every decision made by the School Board. He is seeking reelection to continue this work, protect the progress we have made, and continue the reforms that are strengthening Lee County’s schools for students, families, and our community.
